Philadanco!

Last night I had the pleasure of attending a performance of the Philadelphia Dance Company (Philadanco) featuring a childhood friend of mine Chloe’ O. Davis. Of course I was fashionably late, so I had to watch the first scene on the monitors but the rest of the show was amazing! Everything  from the triple pirouettes to the over extended arabesques and complex partner work. Hands down this is a must see performance! My favorite was the finale’ company piece “Enemy Behind The Gates” . The red and black lighting design was an added effect to the controlled choreography.

“Enemy Behind the Gates’ is a work that was inspired by enemies that within our midst, they LOOK LIKE YOU…THEY ACT LIKE YOU…THEY LIVE LIKE YOU, but THEY ARE NOT ONE OF YOU. The Gate is not invincible but it’s yours to secure.”
