I’m publicly confessing my transition from relaxed to natural hair! I guess since it’s on the net I can’t take it back… either way this is another step towards TOTAL LIFE PROSPERITY. The main reason I’m doing this is for long healthy hair. Relaxers never damaged my hair like some horror stories I’ve heard but I’m convinced it’s some chemical in them that tells my hair to stop growing once it gets to my shoulders. According to truth: “if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering” (1 Corinthians 11:15) So that settles it, LONG HAIR IS THE GOAL! My last relaxer was July 09 so its only been a few weeks but I’m excited to see how this turns out. I’ve done my research and these are my hair rehab lessons learned so far:
Hopefully this transition doesn’t turn me into a product junkie but over the last few weeks I’ve become hair obsessed! Stay tuned as I track my progress
HEALTHY HAIR IS GOOD HAIR!

Really psyched for you. The journey will show and teach you many things. Trust when I say it’s a pseudo-spiritual experience. May actually be a quasi-spiritual experience. Yes…quasi. It’s very real.
Jamie and Leandra summed it up very well. I finally stopped cutting my natural tresses and I have been amazed at the growth in the past 18 months and I;m learning about what works best for me at each new stage….so I am hopeful that you will be at peace with whatever your natural hair reveals about itself. I did go “junkie” for a minute but I passed through it will minimal cash loss. Jamie gave good advice on not touching it until it dries.
Thanks for sharing Jerri. I’m hanging in there, 5 months and counting!

Hey Lady this made me think of you http://www.urbancurlz.com/2009/09/people-with-long-hair-do-this.html
Also, I dont use any special product for curl enhancement. The key for me is not touching it until it dries…if I do, I get a big, crazy, fuzz ball
