Last night I went to see Teedra Moses perform at Club Liv here in DC. I heard rave reviews from her recent Atlanta and New York shows so I was eager to see her live. Rarely do you hear an artist that sounds EXACTLY like their CD. The girl can blow and her band was jammin’! She performed songs from her album Complex Simplicity and recent mixtapes. Teedra’s down-to-earth, home-girl, sassy personality shined throughout the upbeat show. She was very interactive with the crowd. I can’t believe how many of the “kids” were there! They knew all the words to all her songs! Being that this was my first time seeing her live, I could tell each song she performed was drawn from a personal experience. Towards the middle of her set she did a short interlude called ”Photos” where she she posed so the fans could take pictures. My beau got some great shots! She gave us a shout out while we slow danced to her singing “Raindrops”. She closed the show with my favorite song “Backstroke”. After the show was over I had the pleasure of meeting her. She was such a sweetheart. My beau took a picture of us and called her the Backstroke Lady. She quickly corrected him and jokingly said, “Don’t call me that, call me Ms. Moses!” LUVS HER for that! I look forward to her upcoming projects!
* Special shout out to Byron Wright of BMI for advance notice about the show!

Teedra is the one artist that actually stays on my blackberry! She’s been in my memory since day one and I have yet to delete any of the albums. She’s extra dope and I really wish I could see her perform live as well, but I never know where to catch her…
Oh, by the way, Naye, either she’s extra short or you grew a few inches…
She looks a good 5′6″ or so… At least before the photos…
If you can, definitely catch her on tour! She put on a great show! The girl can blow! She’s so slept on and I hate it.
@Langston, I’m only 5′3 and that’s on a good day plus we both had on heels
