Guest Blogger: “We on World Tour…”

I get alot of feedback about this blog via email, Twitter, and/or Facebook so I decided to try a new Guest Blogger feature. Here’s the first installment.

“We on World Tour…”

Well, maybe not, but that’s what my fellow single girlfriends and I call our mission to help men focus on the important aspects of relationships.

Let me lay down the basics for you:

1. Keep it real
I know we hear this a lot and its an overused phrase, but it makes life so simple! If you want a serious LTR (long term relationship) and know the qualities you’d like in your future wife, express those thoughts and you’ll be able to weed out the women who want the same things. If you want to sow your oats, or sleep around and just have fun…though rather unsafe at times, tell the woman that. You never know, she may be down for the same type of party!

2. Treat others as you want to be treated
As an elementary school teacher, I say this on a daily basis to the children. But I know men (and women I guess) need to be reminded of it. If you want a woman to cook for you and wine and dine you, do the same for her. If you want to be spoken to like you have common sense…try it in your daily conversations. Often when dealing with women, you’ll get what you give. (Actually, you’ll often get more but that’s for another blog). No one can read your mind. Go into each relationship assuming you have to tell the woman everything you want her to know about you….likes and dislikes…wants and needs. If she can’t handle it, at least you did your best.

3. Its the simple things
A lot of us would LOVE to be rich and have all the luxurious things money can buy, but in actuality its the simple things that make us happy. The random mid-day text just to say you’re thinking about us. The phone call while on the road; traveling for work; The invite to meet your mom after a year of dating (come on fellas, stop making the ladies wait so long to meet your family) No matter the level of thoughtfulness…be it a blue Tiffany’s box, or a backrub after a long day’s work…women appreciate being noticed. Its simple.

All in all, women can be complex, but if you K.I.S.S., (Keep It Simple Stupid) I promise the right one for you will treat you like the king you are!!

Love love love it. Especially #2. In my opinion relationships are all about reciprocity. Never give more than you receive in a relationship because if it ends (and it probably will) you will have anger for that person because you feel like you walked away with less than you came with.
