Guest Blogger: A MENstrosity? Who told you that…

Who told you that?
To give some context: This “Let’s Talk about Pep Show” is entertaining, but mildly disturbing. I admit I enjoy watching it, but it makes me kinda tired. I was tired before I started watching the show, but it breeds a whole ‘notha level of ‘let’s get it …

This has to be one of the most random thoughts I’ve had lately. But it makes total sense (to me, lol). So, per facebook, I have been seeing SO many unattractive and/or unlikely couples. Which got me to thinking:
Am I the only one who’s still in …

Guest Blogger: A Males’ Perspective on MARRIAGE

A Male’s perspective on MARRIAGE. Now, as difficult as it may seem to some women to grasp, men really do have their own definition, perception and interpretation of that a marriage should or shouldn’t be. Most of who we are and what we want for ourselves derives from what we’ve seen, both the things that work and those that were well, #epicfail (Twitter junkie). So while I’ll make no attempt to speak for ALL men, I’ll simply offer the stance as I’ve lived it and offer feedback from the men I’ve been around. First things first, men… “Man handle” your marriage, your wife and your life. I mean it, “man handle” them…but hold on, to “man handle” these things means to

Guest Blogger: Old, Strong and Alone

Sometimes, my dear friend, Mookie Jones jokes around and gives me a pretty good saying…. One day he playfully uttered “You’re going to end up old, strong and alone if you don’t watch it”… This was probably in response to something I did that was out of the male/female gender role (like opening the door or paying for a bill or something, which totally annoys him). However, his sly utterance still sticks with me, and I sometimes ponder on it…I’m probably not going to be very popular with saying this thought, but “If you are single, that is because of the choices you have made, so stop the external blame game”….

Guest Blogger: Fashion #FAILS

In my spare time, I take to the internet to look at club photos throughout St. Louis. Unfortunately, I am never able to get through the whole album due to fashion #fails! Now let’s be clear, I don’t consider myself a fashion guru by any means but I do feel that I have a gift, which is my fashion eye. I’ve always been great at styling other people, researching their body types, and putting things together that are an ideal fit for them. So when I see a fashion fail I get so confused. I pride myself on being honest with my friends/family especially when it comes to fashion. If something doesn’t look good, I say so. If the look is HOT, I say so. I’ve come to the conclusion that most people lie to others about fashion for one of three reasons:

…”He has to be 6′0 and above, perfect teeth, salary over 60k, oh yea love God, good in bed, be charming, loving, and a perfect fellow. You may not admit this out loud but I am sure you have fantasized about this non-existent, perfect man. However, it should just stay that….a fantasy! Nothing is wrong with dreaming but maybe if we curtailed that dream a bit to reality, I think heartache and confusion would cease in the world of dating and finding a life partner would seem more feasible. My friends say things about guys they meet like he’s too short, he doesn’t make enough money, I don’t like where he lives…etc. Instead ladies try asking where his head is? does he have a good heart? does he love God? does he want better? does he respect women?

Guest Blogger: “We on World Tour…”

“We on World Tour…” Well, maybe not, but that’s what my fellow single girlfriends and I call our mission to help men focus on the important aspects of relationships. Let me lay down the basics for you:1. Keep it real. I know we hear this a lot and its an overused phrase, but it makes life so simple! 2. No one can read your mind. Go into each relationship assuming you have to tell the woman everything you want her to know about you….likes and dislikes…wants and needs. If she can’t handle it, at least you did your best.
3. Its the simple things. A lot of us would LOVE to be rich and have all the luxurious things money can buy, but in actuality its the simple things that make us happy
