Right before my 25th birthday I was so confused and frustrated with my life. For some strange reason in my head I believed by the age of “25” I would have arrived! Meaning life at 25 would consist of me having a career, not a job, engaged or married to my ideal man, and living in my dream home. Well the reality was I was living in the A (Atlanta), had a Master’s degree from Emory University, and no job! Several nights I laid in bed staring at the ceiling fan wondering why me? For all of my questionings I found some strength and encouragement and compiled a list of 25 things learned by 25 on God, Love, Relationships, and Life. That was approximately 2 years ago and I have a new list and a new outlook on life.

Case of the Wants
I have a bad case of the “wants”. I know Psalm 23:1 says:  “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” but somehow that verse hasn’t had an effect on me.
I WANT:

A condo in downtown DC

A new car (BMW to be exact)

A personal chef

To travel to Turks …

Several friends emailed me the same link to Tyler Perry’s latest message. I applaud Tyler Perry for sharing his story through film, plays, and personal messages. His latest message is a little lengthy but worth the read. Tyler Perry is in fact a walking testimony!!!!! He relates his testimony to the character in the movie “Precious” based off the novel PUSH by Sapphire. Word is Mo’Nique is up for an Oscar nod. Can’t wait til it comes out on November 6th!

In due season you will reap! So many people are questioning why things are happening to them. Instead of complaining, I challenge people to find the purpose behind their problems. What I had to understand is, you cannot waste the time and then be ready for the season, or vice versa. We go through certain times to prepare us for a specific season already set aside by God. In Genesis it says that while the earth remains, seedtime and harvest shall not cease. Not many are willing to put in the work to receive their harvest. That harvest could be a new job, car, house, relationship, financial abundance, divine healing, deliverance, etc. Ensure that you will be prepared for your harvest season by taking advantage of the time you have now.

I have mixed feelings about the death of legendary pop musician Michael Jackson. Surely I wasn’t happy but I wasn’t overwhelmed with emotions and sad like other fans…mostly shocked I suppose.More than anything I am baffled that the continuous media scrutiny on his previous child molestation accusations have turned into elaborate celebrations of his life, his music, and his influence on music worldwide over the past 4 decades. The same blogs, writers, reporters, comedians, and media respondents that once made a mockery out of him are now singing his praises????
