I sent a twit pic to my followers yesterday of these lime green sculpted heels that were spotted on the Christian Dior 2010 Fall Couture Show. I know absolutely nothing about these shoes but I’d love to have them in my closet! iDig em!

I haven’t posted anything from my endless wish list in a while but this exotic, alligator Chanel flap bag is indeed blog worthy! This classic flap bag is made of semi matte alligator skin from the Paris Shanghai Collection. For the low price of $28, 350 this bag is mine!!!! Haaa, yeah right! That’s a little too rich for my blood.

The Africa we don’t see

I was reading an article Did You Really Just Say That? over at Clutch Magazine that addresses the top myths and stereotypes about Africa . The video in the post reignited my desire to visit South Africa. For those readers who don’t know I’ve always wanted to go. Unlike most people who want to go back to the “motherland” to find their roots, my interest came about in a slightly different way.

Back in 06-07 when I was in grad school, I interned in the International Programs Branch at CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). I worked closely with MDs and other researchers who conducted alot of HIV prevention and TB screening education in health clinics in Pretoria and Cape Town, South Africa. Seeing as I was just an intern I wasn’t able to travel internationally but their personal stories along with my interest in their international public health efforts made me want to visit. I have not buried my dream of wanting to go to the “motherland” and this video is exactly why! It shows another side of Africa that we never see. The beautiful scenery reminded me that I have yet to experience all of God’s majesty here on earth. I don’t know when or how but one day I KNOW I’m going to Africa.

This holiday season I’ve been obsessing over Christian Louboutin pumps aka “red bottoms” in hopes that my beau surprises me with my very own on Christmas. I’ve found another item to add to my holiday wish list! Christian Louboutin Champagne!

The international fashion label, has built somewhat of an immunity to the lousy economy. Everywhere I go, especially Manhattan, all I see are those infamous red bottoms. Well now you can drink out of your red bottoms! Christian Louboutin has a new luxe liaison with champagne-maker Piper Heidsieck. A collaboration called

“Le Rituel”

Louboutin, 45, said he was attracted to the project because of the opportunity to create an object—a crystal flute in the shape of a stiletto. It accompanies a bottle of bubbly in a box that sells for $500.

The designer said:

“So the [most fun] part for me was to really design the shoe, dedicated not to be worn once, but dedicated to something else, which you would drink out of.” The notion of drinking from footwear immediately reminded Louboutin of Russian tourists in 19th-century Paris, who would drink vodka out of ballerina slippers. He decided to concentrate on a Cinderella theme, not “dirty old Russian guys in the 19th century.”

In a previous posting: Wish List: Exclusive Booties I was raving about a pair of Jimmy Choo Mesh Booties that I absolutely love but the downfall was the thousand dollar price tag. Taraji P. Henderson was spotted wearing the mesh booties on the red carpet of the 2009 Soul Train Awards. They are just as haute on her as in the pictures.

It’s Like Candy!

So during lunch I almost had a slight heart attack when I saw the infamous RED BOTTOMS!!!! Not only was I shocked that YES, a woman at my research firm was indeed wearing Christian Louboutin pumps but more importantly because I hadn’t seen that particular style before. I returned to my office to find the same camel patent leather sling back. After searching for 30 minutes with no avail, I decided it was time to prepare for my 2 o’clock monthly meeting but not without posting on these Jeweled Platform Slingbacks I came across.

They are like candy!!!! I’d like to rename them LOUBY CANDY (LOL)
