I’ve been in the DC area almost 2 years and I’m finally getting around to sharing my experiences at Busboys & Poets. I heard so much about the place and I passed it all the time but for some reason I wasn’t pressed to go. I guess I thought it was somewhat overrated but I have to admit that it lived up to the hype. I’ve visited the 14th and V location on Saturday afternoons. Besides the long wait times the food was delicious and somewhat cheap. $10-$13 for an entree and $5 Mimosas! and these aren’t your average watered down Mimosas. If I had more than 3 I would have been tipsy walking down U Street! LOL I hear the open mic nights are LIVE! One night I’m going to attend Nine On The Ninth; a monthly poetry series that falls on every 9th day of the month at 9pm.

I highly recommend Busboys & Poets as a must “thing to do” in DC!
