This week’s edition of  FAB Friday  is all about flawless skin and fabulous weave! I recently just took notice of model Ubah Hassan. This week she was spotted at the opening of the new Target in Harlem, NY. This girl is absolutely FAB! Her skin and hair is completely flawless!

HAPPY FRIDAY Total Life Prosperity FAM! I posted a FAB Friday post a day early yesterday because I was diggin Amber Rose as Marilyn Monroe but I came across some more FAB looks as I was doing my morning blogroll. First up we have the FAB skin of Miss Kelly Rowland. Kelly has always been gorgegous but her skin looks absolutely flawless at her private listening event for her self titled album at Hudson Hall in NYC last night!

Speaking of pumps…My BFF that’s getting married in August is looking for a sparkly, jeweled shoe for her wedding day and we just knew Mr. Louboutin was our go-to guy. #FAIL She had no success at Neiman Marcus or Saks in St. Louis. Together we did some online researching for her perfect shoe. These are some of the FAB pumps we came up with.

Last week, I watched a full episode of Jessica Simpson’s Price of Beauty Reality Show. I was amazed that Asian women were getting plastic surgery to have bigger eyelids. I’m thinking “Who said bigger eyelids = beauty?” It also made me think of all the other ridiculous beauty “standards” the media has imposed on regular women. People (yes men too) are putting their lives in danger to live up to a beauty standard that is non-existent! Most celebrities, models, and athletes look nothing like they appear on television, photo shoots and magazines. I guess some are tired of putting up a front like they are perfect. Take these pictures for example:

Britney Spears is the latest celeb to do a photoshoot  for her Candie’s 2010 Ad campaign without retouching

For the May cover of Marie Claire, Jessica Simpson went without makeup or retouching.

In May’s Harper’s Bazaar, Kim Kardashian poses totally nude without airbrushing.

Lindsay Lohan did a photo for the cover of French fashion magazine-Purple Fashion for their summer issue where she wears a crown of thorns, draped in a white plunging robe, and has her arms are stretched out in a crucifix-like position, obviously depicting Jesus Christ. The shot was taken by Gucci photographer Terry Richardson.

I have strong opinions but I try to keep them to myself so they don’t come off as judgemental but seriously what are these people thinking? Why would you depict yourself like this? What message is she trying to send? What purpose does this serve? Some would think this photograph is disrespectful. I agree with this thinking. What is artistic about the death of Christ? NOTHING in my opinion. I live for what Christ died for me to have! As a Christian his death, burial and resurrection is what my entire belief system is based on. I don’t take it lightly and neither should other Christians. People of the world are constantly furthering satan’s agenda with no opposition from Christians. I’m absolutely disgusted!

THE LATEST NEWS:

• Massive coordination efforts involving dozens of aid groups, the Haitian government, the United Nations and the U.S. military was under way to get food, water, tents and other supplies to survivors
• Hospitals in Port-au-Prince have collapsed, and the few facilities still open can’t handle the needs of the injured. The United States and other countries were dispatching medical supplies, facilities and personnel.
• Precise casualty estimates were impossible to determine. Haitian President Rene Preval said Wednesday that he had heard estimates of up to 50,000 dead but that it was too early to know for sure. The Haitian prime minister said he worries that several hundred thousand people were killed.
• Aftershocks continue to jolt the region, causing further fear and panic among residents

Thankfully President Obama has responded in a quick manner. He has promised the people of Haiti that they  ”will not be forsaken.”  There have been plenty of ignorant comments made and I will not acknowledge them on my blog but I had to post something on this terrible situation. My thoughts and prayers go out to the people affected. I also donated online. If there was anyway possible I would be more than willing to travel to Haiti and help in any way that I could. In a previous posting Jesus and Jigga, I expressed my views towards rapper Jay-Z and his response toward the widely viewed video that suggests he goes against Jesus in his song “Empire State of Mind”  featuring Alicia Keys where he says:

“Jesus can’t save you, life starts when the church ends”

In a recent interview with radio host Angie Martinez of Hot 97, he addresses the rumors again but not once does he mention the name of Jesus.

Jay-Z:

“I don’t know where it started. I don’t know where it came from. I really think it’s really silly. For the record, I of course believe in God, but I believe in one God. If people must know my religious beliefs, I believe in one God. I don’t believe in religion. I don’t believe in Christians or Muslims. I think all that separates people. I think it’s one God. I think it’s all the same God, and I don’t believe in Hell. But as far as God, of course I believe in God. Am I a part of some sect or cult? That sounds stupid to me. It’s like ignorant to even say, and umm… I guess that’ll be the last time I address that. It’s ignorant to me”

“I can’t even get in a golf club in Palm Springs. I’m from Marcy Projects. Just think about that? People that control the world?”

Do you believe that those sort of organizations exist?

Jay-Z:

“I think there are cliques of friends that control things. I don’t if there is a devil worshipping sect. That’s a little Tom hanks. I believe there are cliques of people that control the world…but that’s just natural process. I’m sure Obama has his people and everything is good but as far as how far people are taking it…”

So you don’t intentionally do this to put people in a frenzy?
